First hedge trimmer ever. Easy to handle, battery seems acceptable due to me being able to complete trimming without stopping for recharge. Does seem to not cut the cleanest but did the job. The bar is pretty long so was able to get all of bushes to top.
For the work I have to do around the house this trimmer works great. The trim work is not heavy or thick so it’s perfect for that and the battery life is just right.
Previously had a corded 22 inch hedge trimmer for 25 yrs. I have about 60 feet of 7ft high forsythias and numerous zebra grasses and maiden grasses that gets cut down every spring. The old trimmer was having much difficulty getting thru the grasses and the forsythias over the past year or so. Got the EGO 26inch and it's like a hot knife thru butter plus I don't have to struggle with lugging around 100ft of electrical cord to boot. The EGO is a time saver and eases my effort to get my yard looking neat. Glad I upgraded to the EGO. With an over 1 inch cut there aren't any hedges bushes or grasses that the EGO won't be able to handle. Plus the 56v battery is compatible with other EGO used tools that I may opt for in the near future.
I bought it to trim some bushes. I love the swivel head, but you should be careful when switching it two fast. I accidentally cut my leg when trying to swivel too fast. All in all a great addition to my ego products.
I replaced my old craftsman plug-in electrical trimmer that died after fifteen years of service. So glad I chose the Ego battery trimmer as my replacement. I used it to trim all of my shrubbery this year. My neighbor asked me to trim some of his shrubbery after I finished mine. I think he may be interested in buying one also.
Purchased in Sept. works well, it’s powerful and battery ran strong ! First E60 device after different manufacture’s trimmer quit on me during my project z
Haven’t used it that much so far. The only thing I noticed that bothered me was the weight. It cuts really well and I’m sure it will be worth its weight. Nice and convenient not having to deal with a power cord.
I am impressed by the ability of the trimmer to quickly adjust to the various brush thicknesses and density. The battery is amazing! It goes full power till the end, unlike a competitor brand that I have, which slowly powers down. I like the rapid charge, as well. The runtime also was impressive; I was able to use the trimmer for over an hour and half, unlike the previous trimmer I have which would go maybe a little over an hour. I like that there is very little vibration and also that it is less noisy than I had with my other trimmer. The blade seem to be more resilient than my other trimmer (which I've gone through 2 with bent blades due to the formidable brush I am cutting. I am pleased so far with its performance! I also like the controls; they're much more ergonomically designed than other brands I've tried.
I bought a $80 electric corded Black and Decker hedge trimmer and it was terrible. Couldn’t cut anything. This hedge trimmer, although more expensive at $290, cut through branches like butter.
This tool was recommended to me by Google gemini based on what I needed to do hedges. It has not disappointed. (It) cut through the 1/2 to 1 inch thick hedges with ease. Battery lasted the whole 40 minutes i ran it.
This is a great trimmer, powerful enough to cut through heavy bushes. The blade is long and runtime is also excellent. The handle rotation ability is useful for doing vertical cuts on hedges. The only downside is the weight, which can be tiring if you have to hold it above your head for tall hedges,
This trimmer made quick work of my hedges. It went through thicker branches that my 20v couldn't handle. Despite the added power, I was surprised it wasn't any louder than the 20v, no noticeable increase in noise at all. Would definitely recommend.
I'm 83 years old and this trimmer is easy to use...no yanking on a starter cord, adjusting choke , etc. It's quiet and powerful.. I cut through some heavy overgrown branches. I don't have to drive downtown to buy gas for it. I intend to have it placed in my coffin when I croak.
Excellent, my First use with this trimmer was better than expected, I’m coming from a 16” plug in black n decker. I cut all my bushes in 20 minutes I used 20% battery. Now I do expect battery life to shorten as blades dull, I’m sold I want the line iq trimmer now haha.
I have another Ego product and when I needed a new hedge trimmer it was a no brainer to buy an Ego hedge trimmer. I love the fact that the batteries are interchangeable on all these products. Both the battery charge and power is awesome.
I bought the 26" hedge trimmer kit several weeks ago and was surprised that the battery lasted the entire day as I trimmed hedges. It was a lot of thicker branches and the trimmer held up extremely well. I like the product very much! ~ Sam
This hedge trimmer does everything very well. The handle rotates 180 degrees. The blade cuts through everything cleanly. The blades can be replaced. It's very light. It uses the same battery as the chain saw, the pole saw, the pole trimmer, the blower, the mower, etc. The blade stops almost immediately when you release the handle. I wanted to give it less than 5 stars because you have to keep two hands on it, but I have to admit that not having something sliced off or through is more important than extending my reach.
Bought the kit @ Lowes (tool alone was $199, kit was $229, priced a battery separate, $199 / made sense to get the kit, even though I have chargers and batteries). Brought home, quick read on instructions, safety, and had watched a couple videos. Put the new battery on charge, grabbed one of the others, went to town. Mind you this will cut up to 1.2" / my old B&D Hedge hog (24" bar) would only cut max around .75". This thing went thru the shrub, trimmed down, FAST!!!! I only did the one that day as it was mid-day, hot out (Texas), etc, and I do have more shrubs to trim, but will do when cooler. This thing is fairly well balanced with the battery on it, not all that heavy, and I DO LIKE the fact you can rotate the handle 180°, but what I REALLY LIKE is, NO ELECTRIC CORD!!! MUCH safer to use; vibration seems to be just normal, didn't really notice a lot. Time will tell on durability but overall seems good.
I purchased this hedge trimmer to replace my current wired trimmer for ease of use and because over the the past number of years I have clipped the wire more than once. I bought this model because I already have a couple of ego products and am very satisfied with the performance and this trimmer does not disappoint.
Great, hedge trimmer, like the ability to turn the cutting bar and hold the power head in a comfortable position! Like the cutting capacity of the blade, did not notice much vibration when using it!
I will NEVER go back to a corded hedge trimmer. This tool is amazing. It even weighs about the same (with battery pack on) as my corded one. I am in love.
I bought this a month ago and it is clear to me the quality is better than most electric tools including the battery. Although it is higher priced it appears to be higher value. Price is what you pay, value is what you get!
