Our EGO String Trimmer was a great buy.

Our EGO String Trimmer was a great buy for many reasons. It was rather easy to assemble and get it ready for actual use. Then, we found it to be quite powerful and functional. The balance and decibel level was great. And, to make everything perfect, we got it at a good price.

I love my EGO products

I’m heavily invested in the EGO line. I love that I am able to use the same batteries for my mower, weed trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer. Whenever I am ready to buy a new tool for my home, I look on EGO website to see if they have it before I purchase.

Worthy Replacement for Gas Trimmer

Well built string trimmer with plenty of power. I mainly use power Level 1 to trim my 1/4 acre lot. Nice to know I have much more speed if needed. Very balanced handling with a 4.0Ah battery installed. The Line IQ feature is amazing keeping the string at full length most of the time. I would have given this a 5 but the unit is noticeably heavier than the Echo Gas Trimmer it replaced. But functionality wise it is right on par with the gas trimmer.

I love it.. works great. Just wish the run time lasted longer.

Yes!

Makes quick work of my trimming needs around garden beds, walkways, and driveway.

Excellent unit

Battery is a bit heavy, shame the unit didn’t come with a shoulder strap but otherwise excellent. It’s better balanced than other string trimmers therefore easier to use and the string management is fantastic

Margrath the Devourer

After using a freinds to see if I liked it, I immediately went out and purchased my own. I named it "Margrath the Devourer" this thing is a monster. It handles the simple stuff like edging with ease and then moves to the heavier weeds and brush without pause. Not having to mess with the string is a huge bonus, and the 4 Ah battery has plenty of life to handle my yard.

Game changer!

This thing is amazing! The power it has, the weight of it, and no mower gas, maintenance, or cords! One of my best purchases ever!

This trimmer is a brute, weed trimmer when you want, then a brush wacker within limits. Power load works great.

Great Tool

I’ve only used it 4 times it is working as it should. I love the IQ feed option that lets me trim without having to reload line. My old gas Echo model had to feed two 8 inch line pieces in the head at least 3 times per use. Really easy to assemble and much more comfortable to use. Battery lasts a long time.

Powerful

Just as powerful as the gas trimmer it replaced. Maybe more . Power comes at the expense of weight. It's a touch heavy.Easy to use. Quality is good so far.Only owned it for a couple of months.

Wow!

The auto string wind and release functions alone give it 5 stars. The battery, weight, and cutting ability take it beyond 5 stars.

Fantastic

Received this as a father day gift. Love how easy it is to load new string. Great power

Runtime is great. Super powerful, even with the tough stuff. It is a tad heavy, just as an FYI.

Nice trimmer

Purchased a month ago works great cuts great long battery life

Super good product!

I've used this weed eater and love it! Recommended for everyone!

This is the best trimmer I have ever owned, especially the auto string loader. Works great when everything works. However. Now that I have used it a while the entire string after loading just flies out. So I determined that I need a new trimmer head that is not covered under the warranty and it cost $50+. If this happens too soon again after a new head replacement, I will not purchase this ego ST1620T trimmer again.

Power plus trimmer with battery

Trimmer was easy to put together. Battery was little heavy. I’m a 65 year old woman.

ST1620T An Excellent Product

An excellent product. The no bump auto line advance is a real joy especially on the big jobs. I am pleased with the 4.0 AH battery life. I haven't had to replace the line yet, so no input the the POWERLOAD feature. This is a strong contender when replacing a gasoline string trimmer.

Great Product

My son, who is the only one who has used it, thinks it's great!

Real Happy Consumer

Most I've ever spent on a string trimmer, but mighty glad I did. Right out of the box and quickly assembled, and put immediately to a hard test in an overgrown thick yard of grass along fence. This thing just ate through it fairly easy. Only later did I realize all of the work done was in low speed. So far, I am ecstatic with this thing. All of my battery gear has been Ryobi up until this point. Now I'm looking at other 56V things I "need." 😂

Great Cordless Trimmer

It is a little heavy so I purchase the EGO shoulder strap as well which makes it a lot easier on my arms. So far so good.

Great weed wacker

I was done fighting with my gas powered string trimmer. Having to manually respool the string ( which sometimes need three hands ), mixing the gas, storing the gas, and constantly replacing fuel lines. So I got smart and got this 56V string trimmer. Amazing! No numb hands from the vibration of the gas engine. No more manual re-stringing! Just a push of the button. Long battery life. Great piece of lawn equipment.

Great features

I especially love the auto line feed and light weight

Works well, battery has already malfunction though

The trimmer functions well. it is a bit heavy, but plenty of power. I have had for a little over a month, and the battery has already malfunctioned. They are however sending me a new one.

So glad I got this

Everything about this string trimmer equates to less work for me. The fast recharge time, the long run time that allows me to finish is a great plus especially at my age. The line spool problem has been eliminated and the auto feed really allows more time to finish the job. The light weight, comfortable handle and tool balance make this the best investment towards a great yard. Finally less noise, no gas fumes, all in all I am really satisfied.

String Trimmer

excellent trimmer with a bunch power. Can really handle big weeds

Amazing, very strong. Long battery running time. Reliable.

Powerful and Efficient

I bought this model to replace my older, smaller and less powerful Ego trimmer. This model was so powerful it made my job of trimming our 2 acre property so much easier. The power actually surprised me and I got too close and removed plants accidentally! There is a learning curve to this new tool.

More than 5 times faster than my Ryobi

Very happy with the performance, was able to easily cut through heavy weeds that my Ryobi weed eater would take much longer and frequently get tangled. Between the quick reload feature, the less frequent tangling, and powerful cutting I did more than 5 times the work in 1 hour. My only complaint is the charge is noisy, but it is fast.

Awesome trimmer!

I upgraded to this trimmer which I paid $251 for the trimmer, battery and charger and got 4 years of great service from my previous one which I sold on Facebook Market place for $120 for trimmer and charger only. I kept the battery. Great deal and upgrade. Love the autofeed!

Excellent trimmer however it’s a lot heavier than I expected

I’ve used it three days straight six hours a day two batteries it’s one of the best pieces of equipment I’ve bought in years and the self winding is fantastic

So Far So Good

I have only had it a week, so I've only used this once so far. I like it a lot. The auto string release needs some work. Too little, or too much. Never just enough. The power is very good. Comparable with my gas trimmers.

Easy to use, well made, so far so good!

Hesitant to put 5 stars without having used it too many times, but so far so good! Easy to assemble and easy to use. Cut through everything I needed it to without any issues. Not having to worry about having enough line out is a treat! Not the lightest unit, which I don’t consider a bad thing. I might pick up a sling in the future. Battery had plenty of charge left after each use.

Exceeds expectations

Automated line loading is a game changer. I was unsure how I would feel about lineIQ auto feed but I love. Head speed is faster than my old gas trimmer.

Heavy with battery

Battery makes it seem heavy and string does not cut 16 in swath .

Great trimmer

Great battery life and trims great, would have given a 5 but the string is hard to see while in use leading to some collateral damage. I would, however, recommend this trimmer it works great.

Lots of power!

Just got stand after 2 uses I am extremely pleased. The power is far better than my the Kobalt string trimmer that this replaced. I have not tried the auto load yet. The Line IQ works great. It is very powerful and has cut time off my yard work. The runtime on the battery seems to be very good. When I am done after 40 minutes it still has juice left.

Model I bought is turning out to be overkill. I find the trimmer heavy and the trimmer cord is very aggressive. I now wish I would have bought the trimmer that was one step down to this one.

i love the cord feeding mechanism. it works like a champ

Ego weedwhacker

Finally wore out my cheap weedwhacker and needed a new one. Was impressed by what I read about Ego and decided to invest. Seems well built, easy to assemble and use. And even though this review process uses AI to prompt me on key words, I’ll reserve judgement about quality for later.

Ego +

Better than the gasoline ones with no exhaust smell works excellent

Heavy duty and heavy

I bought this trimmer about two weeks ago and used it for the first time works really well. Does a great job isn’t as loud doesn’t kick back as much debris on your legs, which is a huge bonus for me. My only downside is it is a very heavy piece of equipment so for a woman if you’re not a big gal, it’s gonna be difficult to hold for very long periods of time. Love it so far will review more as I use it more highly recommend.

POWER+ POWERLOAD™ String Trimmer with Line IQ™ w/

I am a 5'4" 73 yr old female. I have tried MANY grass trimmers (electric and gas) in my lifetime. this is THE ONLY grass trimmer that I can handle without muscle exhaustion.more powerful than some of the gas trimmers i've had...I have 5 acres of lawn to trimmer and I am thrilled with this one!!!!

Great product

Very powerful and most important, it is almost silent. Weight distribution between shaft and battery is very comfortable Price is quite high for the attachments but will purchase in the future

Great value

Should have bought the upgraded trimmer from the start. It charges fast. The charge last longer than I need. The string installation is quick and simple. The balance is good and the adjustable handle is a help.

I bought a month ago Very happy to have! Expensive but good quality!

Auto feed is excellent

The trimmer is as powerful as I need for the Bahia that has begun infiltrating our yard and the auto feed feature has worked well. I was having to stop and manually pull the line out regularly with the previous generation Ego trimmer I have.

The hassle free strining is amazing! Works great!

Game Changer

I had an older gas weed eater for years and was always a pain to reload & would go through loads of string. My new ego power load weed trimmer is a game changer! Load your string in seconds perfectly and the unit is very powerful & the string lasts a long time. I’m finding it much lighter to use and also the battery charges quickly as well as lasting a long time. Highly recommend this !!

Happy so far!

I bought this so I could avoid having smelly, noisy gas appliances and their accompanying maintenance requirements. Build quality is good, performance is on par with my last gas powered weed eater. If you have a lot of property to maintain battery life could end up being a real limitation (you'd need multiple batteries), but it's basically perfectly sized for the regular maintenance around my property. Overall very happy with it, but then again I've only used it twice for any amount of time. Time will tell how durable it is. I'd have appreciated a shoulder strap as part of the basic kit, especially for an appliance on the higher end of their product line.

Have used for a couple weeks now and very happy. Line feeds out beautifully and it makes a huge difference. Love the variable speed, length adjustment and weight. So far very happy with purchase

New trimer

Jiust bought this trimmer and it works just as advertised! It’s great how the line feeds automatically. Such a great improvement to bump feeding. Haven’t had to try the loading yet, though feel confident that it will be another great feature.
